First time I've observed this species at this location in 5 years of visiting it frequently (e.g. almost every day). One of only two records on iNaturalist for Galveston Island, with the other one being on July 14th, 2026 about 20 miles away on the west end of the Island. There are only 8 records on iNaturalist for the entire Greater Houston Area (encompassing 10 counties [Galveston, Harris, Waller, Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Liberty, Montgomery, and San Jacinto]).
