Date notes: A floppy flyer, only briefly airborne. Very dark, with 2 yellow “eye” circles visible when perched on tree, and other surfaces.

Observation notes: Cool , damp morning weather. I have not seen these markings before, and have lived in Vermont my whole life. Same size as a painted lady?
