Observation notes: Butterfly visiting Lantana, Shasta daisies, Wooly thyme. High temperature of 104 degrees starting at roughly 2:00 p.m., southernly winds of 10-12 mph with no noticable gusts.

Coordinator notes: Correct ID Janeal! Excellent record. Did you keep the individual as a specimen or let it go on? I have not heard of any other records for this butterfly this summer so far. There appears to be another Prowers County record...maybe yours? I don't have my finalized text for it in front of me but I think it would be the 4th record for the state...the 3rd possibly being yours from many years ago? Take care, Mike
