Date notes: Sunny, with partly cloudy skies

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Over 100 individuals flying over a bilberry patch. Only males seen, until I found a mating pair, but female did not open her wings. All frantically, chaotically flying around, Then when a cloud covered the sun, every one of them gently fell to the forest floor, into the grasses and some on flowers - all opening their wings. It was magical. During that time, this dark colored one fell down onto this ox-eye daisy right in front of me. I looked and looked. only one this dark.
