Coordinator notes: Correct ID...a male. Looks to be intermediate between subspecies oetus (has more gray on the underside and good definition of ventral hindwing markings...typical on the northwestern plateau in Colorado) and subspecies charon (east of the Continental Divide) that is darker and less well marked.
