Observation notes: there was a small, brownish leaf-like cocoon beneath, looked to be a new butterfly drying its wings after emerging. observed it crawling up the side of a wishing well toward the sun and spreading its wings about gentle. overcast cool morning after a very long hot day of 30C temperatures.
