Observation notes: On Rocky Outcrop South of Tehachapi Mountain. Many Sulphur Buckwheat host plants here. Should be subspecies Comstocki based on location. Sunny day in the 60’s F.

Coordinator notes: For a butterfly no one found for 50 years you are proving how even so-called" endangered" species can even be common if you know when and where to go. No one officially declared this as endangered but scientific publications authors thought it was....now we know that this is one of the most common butterflies in the southern Sierra Nevada!----Ken Davenport
