Observation notes: Dozens of these hairstreaks (with wings held together) were feeding on "Deerbrush" flowers (Ceanothus integerrimus) near the road (just east of Toketee Falls), across from Toketee Lake. Also feeding on the flowers were many Elfin butterflies. Weather was warm, & breezy.
Status: Resident

Coordinator notes: The upper section of the HW's post median band is too wavy for Johnson's. This is the Nelson's Hairstreak. (Callophrys gryneus nelsoni). Nelson's is a ssp: of the Juniper complex. So BAMONA files it under Juniper.
