Orange Sulphur
Colias eurytheme

Observation date: May 25, 2026
Submitted by: Cascade Colors
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Regarding your question about the Meadow Fritillaries, yes, last year there was a second flight in the 2nd-3rd week of August in both Hot Sulphur Springs and in the area between Granby and Grand Lake. Also, today, I also saw a Common Alpine but was unable to photograph it.
Status: Resident

Coordinator notes: Sometimes a tough call between the Clouded and Orange Sulphur...especially early in the year but this one has more orange than typical. If somewhat wants to challenge this, fine...just point out why it is a Clouded instead. Mike
