Observation notes: This pair of RSPs was already mating when first seen at 1:27 pm (1st photo). They were still mating at 2:46 pm (2nd photo). They remained in the same spot on a Mexican buckeye, Ungnadia speciosa. The location was a short distance below the Soledad/Bar Canyon waterfall in a densely wooded area with oak, maple, hackberry trees. Weather was sunny, about 70-75*. Rain had fallen 5 days earlier. Water was flowing at the falls.
