Observation notes: Only this one Sphinx was observed, with rapidly beating wings, hovering above the Klamath Plum flowers, & extending its LONG proboscis into the blossoms. Numerous Painted Lady butterflies were also feeding nearby on the Klamath Plum blossoms. Weather was very warm & sunny.
