Observation notes: The "Skillet Handle" trail had a butterfly hotspot = showy aggregation of flowering Klamath Plum trees surrounded by dense aggregations of Oregon Grape bushes, which attracted many (50+) Painted Ladies, a few Satyr Commas, and a few Red Admirals - all actively feeding at the fragrant blossoms. Weather was very warm, with lots of sunshine!
