Echo Azure
Celastrina echo

Observation date: April 03, 2026
Submitted by: DeepSkyKelly
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Not sure how to be more specific on this one. Maybe a Northern Azure: on the surface (comparing with reference on BONM), darker spots, and thinner, more angled chevrons most resemble Celastrina sidara. But I know you've mentioned Echo Azures in our area...are those included under Celastrina gozora? Looks like the azure section is in the revision stage...appropriate given the species/sub-species difficulties you mention.

Coordinator notes: you correctly interpret BONM's quandary, but for BAMONA purposes let's call it echo. it is not northern, but could be echo or gozora; it is ssp. sidara, but don't really know which species that goes with.
