Observation notes: Looks an awful lot like E. arctostaphylella to my (completely uneducated) eye, but I don't think we have any Yerba Santa here, supposedly their host plant

Coordinator notes: E. arctostaphylella is the best match to your photos, and would be my choice for this one. There's a resemblance to E. marmorea and E. hodgesella as well but I don't think that's what this is. Most sightings are on the west coast. MPG has just one sighting of arctostaphylella in AZ but it's close to Hidalgo County, NM. Despite some qualms about larva food sources, I think you're right, although I can't say whether this sp. is resident.
