Observation notes: One of several Zabulon Skippers I saw in a short time frame last summer. Found in floodplain forest / mesic southern forest habitat with a large variety of trees, woody shrubs, grasses, and flowers. Warm, bright summer day typical of Michigan in August. If I recall correctly, found in a mixed pine and deciduous tree wooded area with small openings
