Observation notes: 2-3 'puddling' checkered-skippers, taking nutrients, from moist rock and gravel and shallow water in the small channel below the Fillmore Canyon waterfall within Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument. The morning was warming, calm, and under full sunshine.
