Observation notes: Individual perching, nectaring from Baccharis flowers, then perching to warm, on a dried mud basin with sparse shrubs behind the USACOE Flood Control Dam east of I-25/Telshor Road in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The afternoon was warm, with breezy to gusting wind, and under high clouds.
