Observation notes: Sighted on a beautiful sunny Sierra fall day following a record breaking snow pack in winter of 22-23. Insect was well camouflaged in the crumbly granite of a “trail” in a remote basin. No movement so presumed asleep in the morning chill or dead; shockingly beautiful nonetheless.
