Observation notes: Very scrubby area of park with quite a few escaped Callista (Bottlebrush bushes) and Coyote Bruch, blackberries , anise or fennel and lots of grasses and weeds. About a dozen of these with about a dozen Anise Swallowtails particularly attracted to the Bottlebrush

Coordinator notes: This is a female, not an Anise Swallowtail, its subspecies hirsuta-Ken Davenport, former Walnut Creek and Concord resident when I was 7-9 years old.
