Observation notes: 14C, humidity 54%, clear, light breeze. Daytime mostly sunny, high 22C. There were three nights of no activity during my usual moth ‘hunting’ time frame (10pm-11:30pm), including overnight lows of -1C on September 19 & 20. Hemlock loopers have been a fairly common sighting for me. This is the first time I spotted one with wings folded up.
