Observation notes: While sitting on back porch in Westfield, Indiana (Hamilton County), the butterfly landed on the T-shirt of my nephew (Brandon Hudson). It appeared to be interested in imbibing sweat. It stayed for a couple of minutes then left. According to Jeff Belth's field guide of Butterflies of Indiana, this may be a new Hamilton County record for this species.

Coordinator notes: Nice documentation! Unfortunately, it is not a new county record. You may have accidentally looked at the wrong species in Jeff Belth's guide, since at least in the edition I have, the species has been documented in every county in IN. Searches in the BAMONA database and iNaturalist also document multiple historical sightings within Hamilton County. -Jeff Gesell
