Observation notes: Butterfly perching, basking and nectaring on Common St. John's-wort and Pearly Everlasting. Roadcut area along road NF-3010 near the entrance/driveway to parking lot for Conner's Camp trailhead at Marys Peak. Approximately 5.8 miles from junction of Marys Peak Rd and Hwy 34. The road cut is moist, grassy, weedy with native and non-native plants including foxglove, Canadian Thistle, oxeye daisy, Thimble Berry, Fireweed, Pearly Everlasting and various grasses. The area surrounding the parking lot is a dry, grassy, weedy meadow surrounded by conifer forest with an understory of native plants.
