Observation notes: I just submitted photos of a caterpillar that was identified as Viceroy Limenitis (1414372).
In moving the tree's pot, I spotted the chrysalis & wanted to share it with you. Amazing how it resembles the caterpillar.
I will research further but assume that this will not emerge until spring. Thank you so much for this service.

Coordinator notes: Since you've seen the caterpillar, I'll identify this as a viceroy chrysalis; otherwise, I'd be stumped, as all the Limenitis have very similar chrysalis.
