Observation notes: As I was taking a photo of a female Eastern Tiger Swallowtail intermediate - quite tattered . All of a sudden the Regal dropped out of the sky right in front of me onto the thistle.
I could barely believe my eyes!!! I kept moving from thistle to thistle. I got about 12 photos here are two of the best.. It was HUGE and very healthy looking and acting.
Yeah I'm so happy that it stuck around for me to see and photo graph it....
