Observation notes: dropped out of the sky onto this thistle, fed for a moment and took off. Taken by my friend Dave, Right after he took this photo I stopped to pick him up to
go photograph Black swallowtails in a high cone flower meadow. He had no idea this was a Regal until he showed me this pic today. In his front yard, just below his deck.
