Observation notes: I observed a yellow-spotted tussock moth caterpillar (Lophocampa maculata). It was in its caterpillar stage, with noticeable yellow and black tufts of hair along its body and white spots. The caterpillar was found crawling on a leaf, seemingly on a medium plant that I couldn’t identify, in regina, saskatchewan. Weather conditions were sunny, a little windy, a little hot but manageable. The caterpillar appeared to be slowly moving and feeding on the leaf. He didn’t leave the spot I found him on. he was found in my alleyway, so around it was just a bunch of plants, flowers, leaves, trees
