Observation notes: Observing butterflies since a child, I caught sight of one I have never seen before while filling Hummingbird feeders.. It was so very large and looked like a crossbreed to me and because it was flitting so quickly about the Hummingbird bush I only had my phone for a photo. I could not get an open wing shot, I do have a video of it feeding. I contacted a Butterfly group to help with ID and they confirmed it was a Giant Swallowtail and because of my location one of the members said I should submit it to you.
