Observation notes: Low 60's, light breeze, partly to mostly cloudy. This butterfly was seen on a large Mullein leaf just off the side of the road.

Coordinator notes: The Anicia Checkerspot...looks like subspecies rorina may be in that area which is most prevalent west of the Divide...more black and white than with red above. The host are Penstemons. Thanks for the submissions...take care. Mike
