Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Hot night. Humid. It was 86° last night but this morning when I found the moth on the sheets it was 75° but the humidity was up to 70%. I tried something new by moving lighting station down to the bottomland. It was not productive. Very few moths. The station was only 20 feet from Lick Creek. It was cloudy last night just a day after new moon. I also baited and had absolutely nothing in the trap. Strange night. This Showy Emerald moth was in resting position and a large one.
