Observation notes: Feeding on the nectar of Blue Mistflower (Conoclinium coelestinum). Blue Mistflower seems to be a favorite of butterflies this time of year. For instance, Monarchs are passing through the yard now. They stay very briefly when visiting the coneheads of the Rudbeckia plants in the yard, but linger when visiting the blossoms of Blue Mistflower.
