Observation notes: Moth stationary underneath the dryer vent, which is not currently in use. The day is cloudy and warm, temperature around 85 degrees F. Live in a heavily wooded area, very few nearby houses and thousands of acres near Smith Mountain Lake. Closest plants to this moth are (underneath it) a rhododendron and an olive tree. Across the path is a hillside that has many young sourwoods, maples, pines, a wild cherry, ferns, goldenrods.
