Observation notes: Watched this butterfy nectaring on the ground for 30 minutes. Located in a parking lot next to a wooded area alongside the Belle River. Morning after a rain storm blew thru. 80⁰, sunny, mostly clear, slight wind. It would flutter up a short distance, but kept returning to this same spot near a crayfish carcass, all within in a foot or so.
