Observation notes: This butterfly was alternately feeding from the flowers on an Abelia x grandiflora shrub and sunning itself. It landed on the Abelia stems and leaves and on adjacent plants such as a White Wood Aster (Eurybia divaricata). It was difficult to get a picture of it since it flitted around and moved often.
