Observation notes: I was watering my flower garden today and thought there was a dry leaf but when I sprayed it, it moved unlike a leaf. I took a closer look and found it was a very large, beautiful moth! It looks 3D, it is dark and light brown with a large body. It has 2 dark spots on the back of its "neck or back" that look like eyes, the moth can make these spots "blink" as though eyes are blinking. Super cool! In the flower bed I have a small bush, some lilies, delilas and an elephant ear plant. We have a grape vine in the back of the house but I did not find it there. I think it is a Pandora Sphinx moth but from what I can find it is not supposed to be in my area. Could you please tell me what kind of moth it is? Thank you!
