Observation notes: On West face of Tehachapi Mountain. Elevation around 7500’. Sunny day in the 80’s F. Many Callippe Fritillaries on the mountain and at the summit. Females flying low to the ground and probably laying eggs briefly in the bushes near the summit. Pine Violets were growing in dense patches in many places above 7000 ft.
