Observation notes: This beauty stopped me in my tracks at 10:50 am on July 2, 1978. It was Very hot for that time of the morning. Around 90ish degrees. Location is Toccoa in extreme Northeast Georgia. We sit on the GA/SC. One county away from Clemson, SCand one county away from Otto North Carolina. AS YOU CAN SEE, it was sitting on a garbage can at a local gas station. I believe it might be a Regal Moth according to several photos I have found online.
