Observation notes: On summit of Tehachapi Mountain at around 8000 ft elevation. Muted butterfly activity. Just a few male Callippe Fritillary and Pale Swallowtail butterflies chasing each other non stop. Almost no plants flowering at the summit and not much on the mountain. Lots of Pine Violets growing everywhere above 7000 ft on the mountain this year!
