Coordinator notes: A male of the Mexican Cloudywing...the Northern has a spot connected to the very edge of the forewing at about the center...you can see the spot here in your photo is located back from the wing edge. Another character...the male of the Mexican has no costal fold on the leading edge of the forewings which the males of the Northern have. Genetics indicate the northern populations of both the Mexican and Northern are different species...(Mexican=Dorbra Cloudywing; Northern=Rocky Mountains Cloudywing).
