Coordinator notes: Your suggested ID is correct...a male. Genetics suggest the Rocky Mountain populations are a different species-level taxon and has been named rockiensis. In addition, the genus - again by genetics is suggested different than Thorybes and a new one named: Cercropterus. The name pylades is eastern and southern so as often the case with common names, they are subject to change...but changes are confusing for a website like this so we will keep the older ones for sometime to come. In the future the appropriate common name will probably become the Rocky Mountain Cloudywing. Mike
