'Rustic' Arctic Blue
Plebejus glandon rusticus

Observation date: June 30, 2025
Submitted by: Cascade Colors
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Pretty unsure of this as the arrowhead pattern isn't very distinct compared to ones I've seen in the past (also much more of a rich brown underneath than I've seen, unless it's because this is a female). Else Boisduval's Blue - just one that looks quite different from the other I just submitted (in which case this would be rejected)

Coordinator notes: You missed this one...an Arctic Blue...looks like a male. You will know the true Arrowhead Blue should you find one...it has LARGE white arrowhead on the underside of the hindwings. I have found them in early-mid-June over on the Beaver Creek Road, especially at mud or wet sand but I would think you could find them here at this local site too. Mike
