Observation notes: This little guy, about 12mm long, was resting on a window on a sunny afternoon. Took over a dozen photographs to try to get him in focus.
I searched & searched & I could not find anything in Alberta, Montana, Wyoming, or B.C. that looked like this moth. The conspicuous white triangles pointing inward on the ends of the wings are most distinctive.
The only thing I managed to find that reminded me of this is Choristoneura argentifasciata, although it has never been spotted this far north by BAMONA users thus far.
