Observation notes: Lone individual among many other species in a small wooded marshy area west of a pond. Dozens of A. californica dominated the terrain, along with individuals of P. satyrus, N. antiopa, and swallowtail sps. Ground uniformly damp to soggy. Lots of reeds and nettles, grading quickly into pine forest. Weather clear, breezy, 80 degrees.
