Observation notes: This was found on a warm sunny day on a riverbank in a spot that a bunch of different butterfly species were drinking from the wet sand between some gravel. I had seen these out east but was suprised to see one in the west, it looks like this may be only the second documented from idaho here! I saw 2 more of this species all within a a quarter mile of this one but did not get photos of the others.
