Observation notes: I was coming out of the house to go to work and this huge moth flew by and landed above my living room window. Wing span looked about the size of my hand, and the right wing looked a little frayed. It's been humid and rainy lately, but when spotted it was early morning sunlight. My garden includes a mix of vegetable plants, echinacea, bee balm, Gerbera daisies, azaleas, elderberry bushes, surrounded by a forest with pine trees, poplar trees, oak trees, dogwoods, and black walnut trees
