Coordinator notes: I've only found one large colony many decades ago in Reno Co. All of a sudden in sand hills Butterfly Weed appeared and were swarming with S. idalia and Coral Hairstreaks. Usually all males, only saw one female. Another 1/4 mile and they didn't exist. I observed that colony for three years, have no idea if they are still there. Hopefully your colony stays secure, one of my upmost fav species. Thanks! JAMES STEEN
