Observation notes: Chew's Ridge a known spot for Columbian Skipper per Chris Tenney who looked at my photos and verified it was what they've always considered to be H. Columbia based on habitat and appearance. It was observed hilltopping at the top of the ridge under the firetower at over 5000'. He referred me to Butterflies of America.com to compare these. And said the fresh individual from June 6th was also Columbian Skipper. (We went on the Monterey HC Hastings and the Monterey Count with Chris on June 7 and 8th respectfully.)
