Observation notes: I’m not sure if it’s the same, I’m very new to butterfly and moth observing.
This rather large moth was on the glass shade of my porch light and didn’t try to fly away when I had to come within a few inches to open my door. I hadn’t seen such a large and pretty moth before, that isn’t a Luna moth, so I took pictures to look it up.
