Observation notes: Feeding on Fragrant Pitcher sage in garden. Several moths are known to use Fragrant Pitcher sage as a host plant including the rare Fragrant Pitcher Sage moth.

Coordinator notes: Here's a taxonomy note: Chloridea virescens (Fabricius, 1777) was formerly placed in the genus Heliothis. The new generic combination from Pogue (2013) is followed by Lafontaine & Schmidt (2015), Lafontaine & Schmidt, 2015: 140.
