Observation notes: Pictures taken on Saturday, June 7 around 10am eastern at Fort Yargo State Park.
Weather was sunny, hot and humid.
Butterfly found on edge of woodlands and lake in mixed overgrown vegetation.
I recently learned about Mimic / Incognito Crescents from a new butterfly ID book (Butterflies of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia) and now I have been staring at these pictures too long and can no longer tell if it's a plain Pearl Crescent or not.
