Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Not sure about this. This butterfly is quite a bit different than the Western Whites I photographed. Nectaring on Desert Yellow Fleabane (Erigeron linearis). Patch of flowers approximately 20' x 20' growing on fine-textured gravel mounds with lots of agate, jasper type rocks. Mounds at base of escarpment, flats below the mounds covered with sagebrush scrub. Weather was changing from sun to cloudy. At least 10 white butterflies on the patch of flowers, not sure all were the same species so I am submitting several sightings for this site.
